This notice explains what we do with your information in two situations: when you join the waitlist, and when you use the Stable renovation concierge over WhatsApp. We try to collect only what we need to do the job.
Stable is a product of Meah Labs Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16605925) and the data controller for the information described here. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), reference ZC026291. If you have a question about your data, or want to exercise any of the rights below, email hi@meah.ai.
What we collect: the email address you enter, which form you used (so we know how people find us), and basic technical details your browser sends, such as the approximate time of signup. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or any details about your renovation at this stage.
Why, and our lawful basis: we use your email solely to contact you about Stable early access and related updates. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and which you can withdraw at any time (one click — see Your rights).
Once you start a project with Stable, we process more information so the concierge can actually manage the renovation. The rest of this notice covers that.
Some of this is personal information (PII) — your name, phone number, address, and the content of your messages and photos. We treat it accordingly.
When a homeowner invites a tradesperson, that trade joins by tapping a personal WhatsApp link and saying hello — which is when we record their consent. We then process the trade's phone number, name, and the updates and photos they send, for the purpose of coordinating that project. Our lawful basis for a trade's data is our legitimate interest in coordinating the project (and the consent they give by joining), rather than a contract with them. Trades use WhatsApp only; there's no separate app, login, or portal for them.
We process this information to provide the service you've asked for — coordinating your renovation, keeping a record of decisions, and flagging things worth checking. Our main lawful basis under UK GDPR is the performance of our agreement with you: we can't run the project without it. Where we go a little beyond the bare essentials — for example keeping your project readable after the active period so you can pick it back up — we rely on our legitimate interests in providing a useful service, balanced against your privacy. You can ask us to stop and to delete your data at any time (see Your rights).
Meah Labs Ltd is based in the United Kingdom. Stable's application servers run in the UK (London), the project database is hosted in the European Economic Area (our database provider's Ireland region), and your photos are stored in Cloudflare R2's Western Europe region, also within the EEA.
Some providers we rely on are based in, or process data in, the United States — in particular the AI service that generates Stable's replies and analyses the photos you share, the service that transcribes voice notes, and our messaging, payment, and error-monitoring providers. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, that transfer is covered by the safeguards built into that provider's terms — the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision.
We use trusted providers ("processors") to run Stable, each handling your data under its own standard data-protection terms. We don't sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Stable is an AI assistant — a helper, not a source of truth. AI can get things wrong, so it's there to organise your project and flag what's worth checking, not to have the final say: check what matters and use your own judgement. It does not make the final call on anything structural, regulatory, or safety-related — those are always pointed back to your trades and the relevant authority (for example Building Control or a registered electrician). Stable does not make solely-automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
For the waitlist, we keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist — whichever comes first.
For a project, we keep your information for the active period (about six months from activation) and while the project remains in your account in read-only form afterwards, so your plan, photos, and decisions stay available if you pick the build back up. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we'll action deletion requests within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or port it elsewhere — and you can withdraw consent at any time. For the waitlist, click unsubscribe in any email from us. For a project, message Stable on WhatsApp or email hi@meah.ai. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. When we measure whether our ads are working, we do it from first-party data you've given us (your email) and the ad-click reference in the link you arrived from, reported securely from our server — not by tracking you with cookies, so there's nothing here to consent to. Our host may set minimal cookies needed to serve the site securely. We don't use cookies to build a profile of you or to share your data for anyone else's marketing.
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date above.
